A review of 2024 at Jackson ImmunoResearch!

Emma Robertson

As we ring in the New Year here at Jackson ImmunoResearch, we are taking time to reflect on the past year. 2024 flew by with product launches, many trade show visits, and even more festivities and team bonding events.

We had an outstanding 2024 here at Jackson ImmunoResearch. Last year was filled with activities to launch new products and lots of trade show visits, during which we got to meet you, our wonderful customers, and learn about how you use our products in your research. And, of course, liberally sprinkling our calendar, plenty of JIR events where we get to celebrate as a company.

Earlier in the year, we added two new Alexa Fluor® dyes to our range of conjugated secondary antibodies. The addition of Alexa Fluor® 555 and Alex Fluor® 568 brings our total offering of Alexa Fluor® dyes conjugated to our secondary antibodies up to seven, offering you more flexibility across the entire spectrum. Both Alexa Fluor® 555 and 568 dyes occupy the orange channel, making panel design even easier. learn more

The fall of 2024 saw the launch of the much anticipated AffiniPure™ Rabbit Anti-GFP antibodies. We were delighted to be able to offer anti-GFP specificity antibodies, adding to our select range of tag-specific antibodies (learn more). Anti-GFP antibodies have versatility across a range of fields, including neuroscience and cancer research. They can be used in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, IHC, ICC, IP, Flow Cytometry, and Western Blotting.

Jackson ImmunoResearch had the pleasure of attending twelve conferences in 2024, including four LSEs, The Biophysical Society’s annual meeting, AACR, AAI, ADLM, the National Society of Histotechnology meeting, and the Society for Neuroscience annual meeting, across six states.  We really value our opportunities to attend conferences as they allow us to meet you and learn more about your research, catch up with our distributors and commercial users, and also offer us the chance to build new connections and meet new friends.

Colleagues from a range of departments attended the Delaware Bio Inspiring Women in STEM Conference held at Deerfield Golf Club. The conference, designed to encourage, support, and inspire women in STEM, offered individuals the opportunity to attend workshops and network with other women in STEM.

Between all of the hard work, fun could be found in the form of “team bonding” outings, festive celebrations, and spirit weeks. In June, we gathered to enjoy the highly anticipated annual summer picnic. This year’s theme took Jackson ImmunoResearch into medieval times with a Renaissance Faire themed picnic. There was much frivolity, games, and feasting! (learn more). In the fall, we took a company-wide outing at Milburn Orchards for a hayride, bonfire, and s’mores. Halloween is a week-long event at Jackson ImmunoResearch, filled with an abundance of tricks and treats. At Halloween, each department takes their costumes very seriously! Costumed colleagues parade around before coworkers vote for their favorite department and costume. (It gets very competitive!)

We had two holiday parties at JIR in 2024, giving employees and their partners a chance to celebrate the holiday season. Throughout spirit week, there are lots of opportunities for collegues to participate in the day’s theme to earn raffle tickets to use at the holiday party held at JIR.

Jackson ImmunoResearch is thankful to everyone who contributed to making 2024 a remarkable year. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to keep updated on our 2025 here.
