Technical Info

Whole IgG antibodies are isolated as intact molecules from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography. They have an Fc portion and two antigen binding Fab portions joined together by disulfide bonds and therefore they are divalent. The average molecular weight is reported to be about 160 kDa. The whole IgG form of antibodies is suitable for the majority of immunodetection procedures and is the most cost effective.

Based on anitgen-binding assay and/or ELISA, the antibody reacts with the Fc portion of mouse IgG2b but not with other mouse IgG subclasses, mouse IgM, or the Fab portion of mouse immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. The antibody has been tested by ELISA and/or solid-phase adsorbed to ensure minimal cross-reaction with human, bovine and rabbit serum proteins, but it may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.
Physical State: Freeze-dried solid
Storage: Store freeze-dried powder at 2-8°C. When ready to use, rehydrate with indicated volume of d. water and centrifuge if not clear. Store at 2-8°C - DO NOT FREEZE. Prepare working dilution fresh each day.
Expiration date: six months from date of rehydration. However, the expiration date may be extended if the product is stored according to the recommendation and the test results are acceptable for its intended use.
Purity: The antibody was purified from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads.
Buffer: 0.01M Sodium Phosphate, 0.25M NaCl, pH 7.6
Stabilizer: 15 mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin (IgG-Free, Protease-Free)
Preservative: 0.05% Sodium Azide

Suggested Working Concentration or Dilution Range:
Flow Cytometry:- 1:25-1:100

Dilution factors are presented in the form of a range because the optimal dilution is a function of many factors, such as antigen density, permeability, etc. The actual dilution used must be determined empirically.

PerCP is a fluorescent peridinin-chlorophyll-protein complex isolated from dinoflagellates. We offer the form found in Dinophyceae sp. with a molecular weight of about 35.5 kDa. It has a broad spectrum of excitation with a main peak at 482 nm, and a long Stokes shift to an emission peak at 677 nm.

PerCP, Alexa Fluor® 488 (or FITC), and R-PE are excited at 488 nm with an argon laser, and thus can be used for one-, two-, and three-color analyses with single-laser flow cytometers. APC and Alexa Fluor® 647 are excited at 633 nm to give a fourth color with dual-laser flow cytometers.

PerCP is also highly water soluble, has a relatively low isoelectric point, and lacks potentially sticky carbohydrates.

It should be noted that the relatively high molecular weight of PerCP may preclude its use in procedures requiring good penetration into cells and tissues. It is predominantly intended for surface labeling of cells for flow cytometry.
